My Future Plans?

There are so many questions that I receive about what my future plans look like…

How long will you live and work in Guatemala? What about your future?

And the answer I have is, I don’t know. I don’t have an exact time frame and I cannot provide an answer. It could be three years, ten years, or fifteen+ years…

Since I am having to raise my own support to live and work in Guatemala, it is all up to God. He will provide for me to stay in Guatemala.

I fully trust that plan, He will provide. I’ve witnessed it a lot in the last three months! Because there have been times where I thought, “Okay Madison, maybe you need to return to the U.S and work for three weeks…” Well I’ve not had to do that because God provided.

Philippians 4:19- And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.

Since I have dual citizenship, it makes the process easier for me to stay in Guatemala as long as I want… For that, I am extremely lucky, blessed, and grateful to have the opportunity to travel back and forth!

And it is something that I will never take that for granted.

Will I return to the U.S?

Like I mentioned earlier, I do not have a time frame for how long I will be in Guatemala…

But yes, I will more than likely return and live in the U.S again. Life happens and my future plans can change at any moment.

My Future Plans

How do your parents feel about you living in Guatemala?

Well like I’ve mentioned before, my parents are fine and supportive with me living here. I talk to my parents daily and they always fill me in about what important event they have coming up. Or they will tell me, “Oh I saw your buddy (aka my BFF since birth) today”!

And with talking to them daily, it gives them reassurance that I’m good and it makes me feel like I still live in the U.S, hahaha!

So overall my family is happy for me because they know I’m doing what I love! It also gives my mom and brother an excuse to come visit me in Guatemala. They both love it and have a lot of fun as well!
