God is Faithful, Part 1

God is Faithful, Part 1

Hello to all!

If you are new here, let me introduce myself. My name is Madison, and I currently live and work full-time in Guatemala with a non-profit organization/ministry called Sin Limites. I am their program coordinator and if you would like to see where my journey began, please check out my first blog

Throughout the last few months, I wanted to write new blogs. I thought of many topics and wanted to write about them, but none of them felt good enough to publish. Looking back, I’m happy I waited.

Starting a New Year

I knew that there were exciting things happening in 2025. I was looking forward to a new year working with Sin Limites. But, I was even more excited to see what God had in store for my life and the lives of my family and friends.

Then something hard had hit me.

One of my coworkers decided that it was time for him to resign and pursue his dream. As much as I hated him leaving, I knew it was the best decision for him and his family. You know, he was like my brother, was always there to help, and had the same passion about work that I did. I never felt alone and he was simply there for me.

I knew God had bigger plans for him, for the ministry of Sin Limites, and for my life.

Throughout 2025

This year, I can confidently say that I’ve grown tremendously in my faith. There have been many highs and many lows.

There were several months that were hard for me (especially recently) and it made me question, “Is my time up in Guatemala? Should I return back to the United States? Why does work only feel important to me?” Because there have been many times where I felt alone, confused, frustrated, and didn’t know what to do.

I don’t like being in that mindset and tried not to let the negative thinking take control. Even in the midst of those difficult times, those trials and tribulations, deep down in my heart, I knew God was in control.

Since I was so stuck in thinking negatively, I didn’t realize the blessings that were and still are surrounding me.

Hi, my name is Madison and I am a full-time missionary in Guatemala since November of 2022. God is faithful and has been so kind to me during this journey. Check out part 2 if you are interested to see how God continues to shape and mold me daily.

Prayers were being answered. I was seeing lives being changed with friends and in families. I had the opportunity to travel home in March and in August. And during my trips home, I had the chance to share my story and speak at six different churches. Some people have said, “I love your story. You are so inspiration, keep up the good work.”

As much as my story might be inspirational and moving for some people, I must give God all of the Glory. He continues to provide a safe hedge of protection around me, meets my needs, and gives me discernment on what is right and wrong. He shapes and molds me daily. I promise you, I would not be where I am today without Him.

God is faithful!

Romans 11:36- For from Him and through Him and for Him are all things. To Him be the glory forever! Amen

XOXO,

Madison Archer
