{"id":327,"date":"2025-09-18T15:37:08","date_gmt":"2025-09-18T15:37:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lifeofmaddi.com\/?p=327"},"modified":"2025-09-25T00:21:41","modified_gmt":"2025-09-25T00:21:41","slug":"god-is-faithful-part-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lifeofmaddi.com\/?p=327","title":{"rendered":"God is Faithful, Part 2"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Hello to all!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you have not had a chance to read, <a href=\"https:\/\/lifeofmaddi.com\/?p=316\">God is Faithful, Part 1<\/a>, please do!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As I stated in Part 1, God continues to shape and mold me daily. It is necessary to have a relationship with Him and now, I am understanding the importance of being obedient to Him.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Listening and Being Obedient<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This past year, I have learned the importance of being obedient to the Lord. As hard as it might be sometimes, being obedient is necessary.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sometimes when He tries to tell me something, I try to bargain with Him. To be honest, I think to myself, \u201cNahhh, maybe those are just my thoughts.\u201d But God is real and He does not make mistakes.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\">I would like to share a recent testimony.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\">It was an early Sunday morning in Guatemala and I wanted to go for a run before church. During the run, God told me, \u201cWhatever amount you receive on your next check from your church, I want you to donate X amount towards this person.\u201d (My church supports me and others can support me by making a donation to my church. The church secretary writes me a check, gives the check to my mom, and she puts it in my bank account.) <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\">I started thinking, \u201cGod that\u2019s way too much, you know I have to raise all of my own support.\u201d I was trying to bargain with Him, but He told me, \u201cDo it\u201d, and I felt peace about the situation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\">As I was arriving at church, I noticed that I had missed a call from my mom. I tried to call her back, but I did not have good service. I thought, I\u2019ll use my Guatemalan phone as a hotspot for my United States phone&#8230; If she needs me, she\u2019ll message me.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\">As worship began, I received a message from my mom and it was a picture of a check. The check turned out to be double the amount of what God told me to donate to this person&#8230; I was in awe because in that moment, we were singing a song called, \u201cFiel\u201d by Majo y Dan. These are the translated lyrics, \u201cGod, You are faithful, Faithful to the end, You will never fail, in the storm, I know you remain faithful.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Please know that all of that was God. I don\u2019t want to receive any praises, I\u2019m just sharing how God is so kind, loving, and faithful. Some people may think what I do is courageous and sometimes I think to myself, \u201cWow, how did I get here?\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But at the end of the day, I am blessed to be able to do what I am doing. Even if I have difficult days and end up being frustrated about something, I ask myself, \u201cWhat is God trying to teach me?\u201d. I am grateful to be able to share the work I do with others and all the Glory goes to God.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cCause all my life You have been faithful, And all my life You have been so, so good, With every breath that I am able, Oh, I will sing of the goodness of God\u201d (Lyrics from \u201cGoodness of God\u201d by Cece Winans)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A Much Bigger Reason<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Bible verse I chose for 2025 was Proverbs 3:5-6.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cTrust\u00a0in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I refer to this verse frequently! Especially, when I need a reality check and when I want to try and do things my way&#8230; It\u2019s all in His hands and I trust Him.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You know, many people ask my parents or myself, \u201cHow much longer will you be in Guatemala?\u201d I respond with, \u201cGod will provide for me and He will let me know when it is time to come home.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Throughout the last year, I have come to the conclusion that I am in Guatemala for a much bigger reason.
